LSU OL Josh Boutte suspended for late game cheap shot vs. Wisconsin

I’ve seen a few blurbs about the “penalty” for this guy. I can’t remember which team or game but there was also another player who took a very cheap shot in a separate incident.

It’s tough to see players get off fairly easy like that. Without stricter penalties there’s no deterrence to make players think twice about it. And unfortunately it happens all the time. Remember all the cheap shots Suh has taken in the NFL? I’d like to see those guys treated like most of us would in normal life and have a coach/GM/owner say “you showed a complete lack of character and we don’t want you on this team anymore.” But if they’re good enough they’re right back in the lineup the first chance they get.
