One dropped pass by a reliable tight end on a 2 point conversion was the difference.

    Another Bills-Chiefs game coming up…

I’m sure Andrews feels awful—- but remember buffalo still would’ve had 1:30 if Baltimore had managed to tie it up there.

The catch only would have tied it… and I am not sure the ball would have broke the plane before going OB… whistling

New worst team in the NFC, and I don’t feel one bit sorry either.

Most recent NFC Championship Game appearance (season)

    Washington Commanders – 2024
    San Francisco 49ers – 2023
    Detroit Lions – 2023
    Phildelphia Eagles – 2022
    Los Angeles Rams – 2021
    Green Bay Packers – 2020
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 2020
    New Orleans Saints – 2018
    Minnesota Vikings – 2017
    Atlanta Falcons – 2016
    Seattle Seahawks – 2014
    New York Giants – 2011
    Chicago Bears – 2010
    Arizona Cardinals – 2008
    Carolina Panthers – 2005
    Dallas Cowboys – 1995
To make matters even worse for Cowboys fans, their team’s most recent appearance in the NFC Championship Game came a full decade before the next “worst” team, the Carolina Panthers.

His entire body came across the goal line at the time he should have caught it, multiple feet down and his butt landed in the end zone, then contacts the pylon. This is textbook in-bounds if he catches it. But I agree that it wouldn’t have sealed the game. Too much time left for Buffalo and at worst OT.

Brutal game for Mark Andrews, really feel for him as he is going to be haunted by the fumble and the drop forever. I didn’t watch every minute of every game, but caught most of them and man what a great football weekend! And proves once again Turnovers are the great equalizer and decider.

When the weather is cold and especially when it’s snowing, I often wonder why the receivers and running backs don’t wear sleeves that have an anti-slip surface, so the ball doesn’t slip out of their grasp as easily. I think it would be very hard to hang onto, or catch, a cold, wet/snowy ball. I’m amazed there’s not a lot more fumbles and dropped balls in those weather conditions. I also find it amazing how well the quarterbacks can throw the ball in those miserable conditions.

Baltimore wouldn’t have needed to go for 2 if they hadn’t gone for 2 in the third quarter and failed. They didn’t need to tie the game at that point. I know momentum is a big deal, but failing a 2 pt conversion kills momentum too.

Jackie Smith dropped a sure touchdown in the Super Bowl, I think he played for Washington. Yes Andrews will remember that game for a long time…hopefully he can win a Super Bowl and catch a touchdown someday.

Great football weekend, next week will be even better.

Big G honestly I can’t even imagine we’re looking at the same play? This is after he dropped it. He’s so far in bounds you have me scratching my head here.

I agree, when he first had the chance to catch, clearly in… but The 2nd attempt to secure it, it was going toward the sideline… that angle doesn’t show it… I will see if I can find the right one. You need to establish clear control and in bounds before its a catch.

Even here, the ball still hasn’t broke the plane. Never did.

I’m with Big G on this one. If he had caught that ball cleanly that would have been a sure TD. They would have reviewed it because all scoring plays are reviewed – But it would have stood as a TD

I would have only been correct in 2 out of 4 games. I’m not a KC hater like a lot of people. until someone can beat them they are still the team to beat. At this point I think a Buffalo and Washington championship game would be cool. I don’t think it will happen, but who knows.

It’s actually more than a full decade. The next worse team is Chicago Bears in 2010 season. Arizona and Carolina faced off in the NFC championship in the 2015 season, with Carolina winning and then losing to Denver in the SB.

They want to feel the ball right against their skin. It’s a ball security thing.

Same reason most quarterbacks refuse to use gloves. They can feel the ball better right on their hands, even if gloves aid with grip in wet conditions.

Andrews is one of the best TE in the business. He had not dropped a pass since week 6. It was about a certain a play (Jackson to Andrews open in the endzone) until it wasn’t.

    Bills move on.

I am an Allen fan and don’t dislike the Bills … never sad to see a Harbaugh team lose.

Eagles opened as 5 point favorites over Commanders. Chiefs open as 1 point favorites over Bills.

Kansas City is making their 7th consecutive appearance in the AFC Championship. shock

It would be great to see Washington and Buffalo in the Super Bowl.
It would be even better seeing the Bills winning it all.

I wouldn’t put my money on that.
