Very surprised the Panthers fired Frank Reich. I think he’s a solid coach, but more importantly is this is following the Bears, terrible, lead. Draft a “franchise” QB high in the draft, then fire the guy meant to develop him a year in. Next guy will have no attachment to Bryce Young and will likely throw him under the bus (right, wrong or undetermined) in year 1-3, so that HC gets a fresh start with a new QB (and another 2ish years on his contract). Then that next QB fails, and you have to wipe the slate clean, or repeat the mistake of bringing in someone else to develop a guy already on roster from a high draft pick. Dumb organizational leadership.

I read where Reich was over ruled by the owner on drafting Young. Reich wanted Stroud. He’s the scapegoat for a meddling owner.

Yeah, which is surprising given the Owner David Tepper first started in NFL ownership as a minority owner with the Steelers. Steelers are on 3 coaches over like 65 years, Panthers will be hiring their 6th coach since Tepper bought the team in 2018.

Watching NFL teams do they have choreographer coach on the payroll?
After an interception the whole defense runs to the end zone and has a dance routine or some kind of skit. WTH???

Vince Lombardi wouldn’t win with that Panthers roster. There’s not one position group where they grade out as even mediocre. The GM is the guy who needs to go.

Watched the game last night, Bears vs Vikings, and thought that the Bears could be a force in the division in a year or two. Not sure Fields is the answer or the problem. Fields just like Love for the Pack or Dobbs now for the Vikes, it’s hard to play QB when you are running for your life the minute the ball is snapped. Fields had some nice throws the few times he had time to throw. Look at the pass to get them in FG position, that was a big time throw. If they feel he is the answer and not the problem they could theoretically trade the #1 pick (as it stands right now) to a team sitting at #3 or #4 while getting a draft haul. They would easily get that teams #1 and #2 pick this year and their #1 pick next year. That is a lot of draft capital especially when you factor in their own drafts picks.

Fields has had the most time in the pocket out of any QB in the league. They posted that stat during the game last night.

You must not have watched it real close.

I was thinking the same thing. Vast majority of Fields throws were to players behind the line of scrimmage.

After the first drive all he did was throw a swing pass. At one point late in the third his average completion yardage was .3 yards.

Yeah you’re right I didn’t watch it very close since the queens were playing in the game, but what I did see is neither qb looked like he had much time to throw in the pocket. If he had the most time to throw in the pocket in the nfl then I guess the crap d line of the Vikes also helped improve that stat. Sure was a nice throw to get into FG range though wasn’t it to win the game.

Former Super Bowl MVP Linebacker Von Miller has a warrant out for his arrest because he allegedly assaulted his pregnant girl friend.

I think he was on the front of Madden 17 after the Broncos beat the Panthers in the Super Bowl. I remember this commercial with him in it.

Surprising, but I’ll wait to hear the whole story before making judgement. Not a good look though.

I didn’t see any of the Seahawks-Cowboys game last night but it sounded like a shootout in big D. Neither team punted the whole game, only the 5th that’s happened in NFL history.

The Niners visit the Eagles on Sunday, and the week after that the Eagles visit Dallas. If SF is able to beat Philly, that puts Dallas only one game back of Philly when they meet the following week, which would make for a monumental clash. The winner would likely claim the top seed in the NFC and the loser drops to the 5 seed.

Yeah that was a fun Seahawks/ Cowboys game to watch last night. Back and forth scoring. I’ll enjoy a defensive battle here and there but also enjoy a shootout.

The SF and Philly game this weekend should be great too. At least we don’t have to watch the Vikings bumble around doah

Good luck finding Von Miller to arrest him.

The Bills have been looking for him for months.

I see Dallas beating the Eagles next weekend.

Tied for 1st in the NFC East.

The Purdy to Deebo connection was pretty wicked in Philly today. He’s a tough guy to tackle when he gets going.

Top seed in the NFC is on the line next Sunday in Dallas.

Well….. it looks like Jacksonville’s season just went down the toilet. They went from possibly having the #1 seed in the AFC to season over in one play. Another QB injury that looks bad.

Dallas, Philly, SF are the teams to beat no doubt. If somebody could figure out how to stop that tush push, Philly probably is on the outs. I think Dallas works the Eagles next week too.

These were the top three teams in the NFC last season too, and the top three projected contenders before the season started.

The “4th best” team in the NFC was supposed to be the Lions. I’d say its right on track to be that way too.

Jags are saying Lawrence has a high ankle sprain. They showed him trying to walk into the locker room and it didn’t look good. This season really shows the value of a good backup QB with all the starters that have gone down.

We will see how many backup QBs win a playoff game.

A high ankle sprain is something that can be played through by a QB. I suspect they will sit him next week vs. the Browns in Cleveland, then bring him back the following week vs. the Ravens at home. Playing with a hobbled QB is not ideal, but can be done.

Looks like the Jags may have dodged a bullet with Lawrence. It looked way worse.

But I would still be shocked if he plays in two weeks. He was on crutches and a walking boot after the game. Maybe he’s a super freak healer, I guess we’ll see.

Purdy. Just an example but if he hadn’t gotten hurt…could have put the Niners in the SB. Not bad for the very last pick in the 2023 draft.

    Great example. Lol
Guessing 49ers knew waiting to pick him last he could do what he did for half a season. Geniuses

Deebo, McCaffery, and Kittle are Elite as a combo. They are a nightmare match-up when all three are healthy. Purdy fell into the perfect fit for his talents to shine. If they can now remain healthy at the key positions it will take an extraordinary effort to beat the 9ers. They are my favorites to go all the way this year. That was true before they beat the Eagles.
