Bengals with a healthy Burrows might be the best team in the AFC, certainly better than Miami & Buffalo.

NFL still stands for Not For Long, things change and quickly. Everyone was crowning the 49ers 3 weeks ago, and now they look marginal, at best. Their great defense is middle of the pack and sliding, and Brock Purdy looks absolutely shook at QB, his confidence is gone. Will be interesting to see if he can regain his form, or they turn it over to Sam Darnold sooner than later.
November 1, 2023 at 8:45 am #2233639The Raiders just fired HC Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler.
I think it’s pretty clear at this point that Josh McDaniel is not head coach material. He should have stayed OC in New England.
November 1, 2023 at 4:38 pm #2233746Apparently Jimmy G has also been benched and word on the street is he might not play for the Raiders again.
Mark Davis must have money to burn flushing all these contracts down the toilet. I think he is still paying Jon Gruden, LOL.
I’ll bet Davante Adam’s is regretting choosing that dumpers fire of an organization!

I’ll bet Davante Adam’s is regretting choosing that dumpers fire of an organization!Adams tossed a tizzy fit on camera towards the end of the game. I don’t feel bad for him.
November 1, 2023 at 7:55 pm #2233764It’s sure looking more and more like Aaron Rodgers was as good or better than advertised for a long time in Green Bay doing more with less and plugging major talent gaps.
Davante Adams went to play with his buddy who he thought he’d make better. Carr is traded away as the combination wasn’t enough to win, and now he looks worse with Jimmy G who is being benched.
Allen Lazard was a pretty good receiver with Rodgers. He now has a whopping 17 catches and 1 TD and struggles to see consistent snaps with the Jets.
The Packers roster is eerily similar to when Rodgers was there at the end of his span with GB. Yet now without him they’re looking like a top 10 draft pick type team despite them often being mentioned as a “win now” type team.
LaFleur came into the head coaching position winning games and looking like someone who put together solid game plans and pulled the right strings. Now without Rodgers their offense is heavily penalized, they struggle to generate chunk plays, and their young WRs haven’t really gotten any better. Christian Watson looks a lot more like a #3 WR than he does a guy growing into a #1 role.
November 1, 2023 at 8:06 pm #2233766The world is a better place since Erin packed his dress and went to New York.
In case you haven’t noticed there is a “Love fest” going on in Green Bay now.

Pretty much spot on. It’s showing more and more how good Rodgers was and how he covered up a lot of problems with the team.
BrittmanPosts: 1940November 8, 2023 at 11:19 am #2234693The Carson Wentz deal is interesting. If Stafford can’t go, he can’t be any worse than Rypien was. What a gift win to the Packers that was.
Lots of interesting storylines in the NFL!
Will Levis looks legit. Could be a shootout in Tampa this weekend with Baker.
Aaron Rogers said he intends to play again this year, in “a few fortnights”
November 8, 2023 at 12:14 pm #2234709I’d say this is easily the most wide open the NFL is in regards to picking a “favorite” to win it all.
In no particular order, these would be my group of most likely contenders:
-Chiefs
-Bengals
-Eagles
-49ers
-Ravens
-CowboysIn no particular order, these would be my group of teams that have a shot but things would have to go just right:
-Lions
-Bills
-Dolphins
-JagsTo be able to say 1/3 of the league has a chance to win it all halfway through seems like more parity than most years.
November 8, 2023 at 1:05 pm #2234729I would agree Bucky.
I’d like to see a Dolphins / Chiefs rematch. There were some fluky things that happened last week plus it was in Germany. Hard to argue against the Chiefs though, they are clutch.
I’m also very interested in how the 49ers look this weekend. They’ve lost 3 straight but coming off a bye I’d think Shanahan would have them dialed in. However they are on the road against a good looking Jags team. Should be a good game. If the 9ers lose, I’d imagine the pressure would really start ramping up on Purdy.
November 13, 2023 at 11:13 am #2235500From Peter King’s column this week, “I think the biggest mystery in sports—not just football, but all of sports—is how difficult it is to project who’s going to be a good NFL quarterback coming from college football. In the five drafts from 2018 to 2022, 15 quarterbacks were picked in the top 15. As of this morning, eight have either failed or been average or worse: Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, Dwayne Haskins, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen. The jury’s out on two more, Daniel Jones and Kyler Murray. Only five—Burrow, Herbert, Tagovailoa, Allen, Lawrence—are solid starters or better. This year, as I look at all the teams with QB needs, I wonder how the Giants and Patriots and Bears and Seahawks and Bucs are going to make sure they’re not part of the majority that flunk QB Prospecting 101.”
November 13, 2023 at 11:17 am #2235503I know we often talk about who the “best” teams are in the league, but let’s go a 180 here and rank the worst ones instead.
My vote is the Giants lol
Walloped again by the Cowboys, players bitching at each other on the sideline, and a coach on the hot seat. The New York Football Giants are officially the worst team in this league right now. Second worst is the Patriots.
November 13, 2023 at 8:10 pm #2235660Yeah the Giants, Patriots, and Panthers are completely a mess. Hard to argue with the Giants taking the dumpster fire award though.
Weird game going on in Buffalo right now on MNF. Neither team can do anything.
November 13, 2023 at 10:56 pm #2235676Bizarre game tonight. Serious nightmare for Josh Allen and the Bills.
November 13, 2023 at 11:16 pm #2235678After the game, Josh Allen threw his helmet toward the sideline in disgust…
And that too was intercepted
November 14, 2023 at 9:24 am #2235724Will Levis looks legit.
Bengals with a healthy Burrows might be the best team in the AFC
It’s funny/crazy how quickly things turn in the NFL. Levis has looked terrible 2 weeks in a row now. And the Bengals lost at home to the Texans, who actually aren’t that bad. Oh and to the surprise of NO Vikings fans, Diggs is being a diva in Buffalo.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22539November 14, 2023 at 9:29 am #2235728Oh and to the surprise of NO Vikings fans, Diggs is being a diva in Buffalo.
Even his brother was tweeting about it LOL
November 14, 2023 at 9:31 am #2235729Troy Aikman said before that game last night “the only way Denver can win is if Buffalo turns the ball over.”
4 turnovers and another one on downs at midfield…
November 14, 2023 at 9:35 am #2235734I’ll still maintain Levis looked good against the Steelers, and most analysts agree. However he was not good against the Bucs and I would know because Tua was on a bye and I rolled the dice on him in FF and he didn’t do well. Luckily I still won my game.
The Bills are in serious jeopardy of not making the playoffs at all. They have a tough schedule to finish the season and last nights debacle won’t help.
November 14, 2023 at 9:41 am #2235735However he was not good against the Bucs and I would know because Tua was on a bye and I rolled the dice on him in FF and he didn’t do well.
Same here but with Mahomes on a bye, and I lost by 5.
RipjiggenPosts: 11564November 14, 2023 at 9:41 am #2235736I will stand by my statement from earlier in the season on this thread that Josh Allen is overrated.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 22539November 14, 2023 at 9:49 am #2235739I dont do FF but its crazy how the points systems differ depending which one you are in. Both of my sons have Dobbs and one had like 58 pts from him Sunday while the other only 20 something. Weird.
November 14, 2023 at 9:52 am #2235741I will stand by my statement from earlier in the season on this thread that Josh Allen is overrated.
They were talking about that last night during the broadcast too. You can’t really take him out or bench him because he has the ability to make big plays, but he’s taking too much of a “gunslinger” mentality at the same time and turning the ball over.
He’s always been a little reckless with his approach, especially when he starts running. Obviously turnovers are the single most important factor to winning or losing though and he and the Bills need to limit that if they want to win.
RipjiggenPosts: 11564November 14, 2023 at 10:05 am #2235742He has the most multi turnover games of any QB since 2018. I get that not all Qb’s have been playing since then but those turnovers will make it difficult to consistently win. For Allen that seem to happen at the worst times.
November 14, 2023 at 10:34 am #2235756It was literally a house of horror last night for Allen. He did not play well but also he had receivers drop catches that were right on their hands. Not to mention fumbles including one by his RB on the first play of the game. Not to mention some terrible penalties. Almost everything that could go wrong, did.
Buffalo just fired their OC a few minutes ago…

Huh.. he must have been the one throwing the ball last night…
November 14, 2023 at 2:26 pm #2235826I am so glad to not be in the fan base of Diggs anymore. Can’t cover his behavior up with the “dude just wants to win” phrase. Complete diva. Publicly whines multiple times a year. Wonder what he’d have been like on a Vikings team that started 1-4. Took a lot of character for that team to grind week after week, and I don’t think Diggs would’ve been much help during a phase like that.
