Any predictions on the Miami vs Buffalo game this weekend?

Probably the best game on the slate, too bad it’s buried in the Noon games and not even nationally televised. The NFL really needs to start flexing games earlier in the season.

it will be one of the highest implied totals this week. i think Buffalo takes it 34-27ish.
no need to flex anything yet. you can watch any game you want with an internet connection.

The Bears are beating the Broncos 28-7 in the third quarter. I think the worst team in the league controversy is resolved.

Didn’t really watch any football games as we were pulling boats, docks and lifts and then driving home this weekend. But did watch the highlights of another crazy NFL weekend. CJ Stroud looks like the real deal for ending the Ohio State QB jinx, and Justin Fields definitely doesn’t look the part, although he did throw for 300 yards for the first time in his career. Meanwhile the Ravens and Bills let the up and coming Browns and Fins know who the boss of the division still is.

It’s hard to lose a 28-7 lead, but the bears found a way. They are a bad team !!!

Man what a selfless player Maholmes is. After having a rather poor game
( one of his few ) it would have been really easy for him to pad his #’s a little by getting a TD on a nice scramble at the end of the game. Instead the did the right selfless thing and slid down on the 1 yard line to insure the win. That right there is the kind of a QB that a lot of teams wish they had right there.

Friday night topic. Dutch do you think the NFL is rigged?

Mahomes slid down instead of scoring. If he scores, the Chiefs cover. If he goes down, they do not.

    whistling

Rigged for sure. Everyone including Taylor Swift had the script.

That’s pretty debatable as a TD puts them up 2 scores under 2 minutes to go. Whereas sliding down risks a fumbled snap (like Buffalo last year vs the Vikes) and a FG ties it. I don’t think it’s rigged for gambling (and doubt Bucky does either), especially by Mahomes who is set to make about a billion over his career, but that being the right play there is debatable.

but that being the right play there is debatable.

Will not disagree with that. Most so called football experts seem to be saying it was the right thing to do. I know I wish he had thought it was the wrong thing to do and just ran it in. I sure could have used the extra 6 points in fantasy football.

    Some entertaining games for sure.

Was surprised the Bills Dolphins game got so lopsided. They were tow to toe for awhile.

Was surprised the Jets hung in there against the Chiefs last night. The almost comeback was fun to watch. And actually the Jets did tie it up and probably should have won if Zach Wilson didn’t fumble on that center exchange.

The Steelers are a train wreck. Wow.

Ya. That will probably be the worst that KC will look the rest of the season. Yet they still got the W. That is what good teams do. Find a way to win even when its a off game.

They are 2-2. Lost their QB in this game.

    Have a top 10 defense.

I don’t think the Steelers have ever been a mess under Tomlin.

Agreed, bad look for them yesterday, but I’d bet they are around .500 and the WC by the end of the year. Pickett has a long way to go, but Tomlin figures it out with the best of them.

This, and almost every weekend, is why the NFL is the best, any given Sunday! Also, why I hate the sky is falling or we are going to the Super Bowl talk every week. The first 4 weeks are a crapshoot, and only after that do we start figuring out who is who. Last year the Bears were 2-2 thru 4 games, ended the year with 3 wins and the 1st pick. The same thing will happen this year, someone that has looked ok thus far will tank, and someone who started crappy will look great by the end of the year.

Only 4 weeks in the season and there is only 2 undefeated teams remaining, and one of those needed overtime to remain undefeated. Right now it looks like The Eagles and the 49ers are the team to beat in the NFC with possibly the Cowboys and Even the Lions in the mix. Yes I said it, The Lions. On the AFC side its the Bills and the Chiefs. With possibly the Dolphins in the mix.

The refs certainly had a hand in that win for the Chiefs though. Two of the worst calls, one a holding against the Jets, the other a non call in favor of the Chiefs.

Are you referring to the one where Gardner hugged the guy prior to the interception? That’s a penalty 100% of the time with the way the rule is written.

I don’t think Pickett is the answer whatsoever as a long term franchise starting QB. Regardless, Tomlin gets more out of less than just about any coach in the league…hence why they are never picking atop the draft.

Yes, but it isnt and you know it. He put his hand on his shoulder pad and turned him which led to him cutting inside and then the ball was intercepted. You watch the replay and the ref doesnt even throw the flag until AFTER the ball was intercepted.

Pickett didn’t leave until late in the 3rd quarter. I agree they will figure out a way to be competitive, as usual. But compared to how they looked preseason combined with all the improvements talk, they are a mess right now.

Even Tomlin said changes are coming post-game. Wouldn’t be surprised if they fire their offensive coordinator

One other thing on the Steelers. It’s one thing to lose a close divisional game. It’s another to get your butt handed by the Houston Texans with a rookie QB and patchwork o-line. Uff.

I think the Cowboys visit the 49ers next Sunday night. That should be a dandy.

Speaking of messes, the NY Giants are an ugly mess too. Currently losing at home to Seattle who has a backup QB. Just saw they have been out scored 77-9 in the 1st half of games this year. Woof!

The Giants have been outscored by over 100 pts since they beat the Vikings in the playoffs.

Bears Commanders tonight, hoping for a Commanders route with a trip to Soldier Field next weekend for the purple, I’d like them to be totally demoralized and checking out of the season…which sounds like it is happening already.

Fields looked pretty good last week, even though the Bears blew a massive lead in the second half. He doesn’t seem to be using his legs nearly as much this season. I’m sure defenses are focusing on that considering the scouting report on him now.

I’m not a betting man, but some buddies are. O/U of 44 looks pretty tempting when each defense has been giving up 30+/game…
