True it wasnt just those games, but they started out in such a hole that is almost impossible to get out of which they almost did until Kirk and JJ went down. Had both of them remained healthy no chance they had less than 11 wins this year. We will never know however.

    I don’t think a team is in a ‘rebuild’ with a $50 million dollar QB…

What teams have a 50 million dollar QB.
Please share. I hope you do not list the Vikings as one of them.
I give you a clue. Only 4 teams have one and only one team is left in the playoffs.

So you think they were rebuilding the past two years?

I think you get my original point..

    Way to dodge the question.

Did they get much younger on defense yes.
Will they get even younger this off season yes.
Did the shed some old money on offense yes.

    All while staying competitive.

Did they go into a full tank rebuild no.
Don’t think anyone said they did.
Did Detroit do a rebuild with a QB that virtually makes the same money?

If you don’t understand what hyperbole means you should look it up.

Do yourself a favor and go back and read what was said about the team rebuilding, you wouldn’t look so under prepared for the discussion.

    Oh I read it.
So which statement did I say that is not true?
    Please enlighten me.

Please throw something meaningful to the discussion in the first place.
    Not just a single hyperbole.

Guys, guys, guys, it’s a “competitive” rebuild, so there are going to be some big contracts hanging on, some they may keep, some they will and have let go…and in all seriousness, if it’s not considered a rebuild after a whole new front office, coaching and training staff, I’m not sure what is.

2021/2022 starters. Last year of Zim and Spielman. You can argue if their replacements are better or worse but roster overhaul has definitely happened. “Rebuilding” I guess you could say. Vikes D next year most likely will not have a single starter from 21’
Possibly 4-5 sarters from the original 22-25 starters.

QB Cousins remains to be seen.
    RB Cook Out
    FB Ham same
    WR JJ same
    WR Thielen Out
    WR Osborn most likely Out
    WR Beebe Out
    TE Irv Smith Out
    LT Hill Out
    LG Cleveland Out
    C Bradbury same
    RG Udoh Out
    RT O’Neil same

    Defense
LE Hunter remains to be seen
    RE Weatherly Out
    DT Pierce Out
    DT Tomlinson Out
LB Barr Out but cam back for a hot minute
    LB Kendricks Out
    LB Vigil Out
    CB Peterson Out
    CB Breeland Out
    CB Alexander Out
    CB Dantzler Out
    S Smith will be Out
    S Woods Out

The solution for Vikings Fans is incredibly simple.

Just drive a few miles east and locate the nearest store. Then buy a Packer hat mrgreen

Green Bay beating Dallas might have been the easiest game of the season to predict. Dallas folds first round of the playoffs damn near every time the make one. The MN Twins of the NFL.

Hate to say it because of the Packers fans here, but the Pack had nothing to do with it. It’s just what the Cowboys do. It could’ve been the Passtronaut and the Vikings and Dallas still would’ve choked.

    rotflol

So the Packers should have just stayed home and take the win and get ready for the niners! waytogo

I think the Divisional Round is the best round. Usually its more competitive and closer than the Wild Car Round, plus you get to see the top seeds play.

Some good football to watch this weekend. Personally I’m really looking forward to the Chiefs and Bills game the most. Those games have been really close the last few times they have played. Here are my picks for the Weekend:

Raven’s, 49ers, Lions, and the Chiefs. That being said I think the Lions and the Chiefs games are going to be close and could both go either way. I know not a real stretch as all my picks are the favorites except for the Chief’s I believe

Lets hear all of your picks.

Chiefs Bills will be interesting for sure. I do, somehow think that GB goes in and shocks the world in SF. I am intrigued by Houston though. That CJ stroud could be the real deal.

I don’t think either top seed will lose. They have had a bye and they are playing at home. Divisional top seeds with byes have a pretty absurd winning rate.

However, I think both will be much closer than expected. Both GB and Houston cover the nearly 10 point spread but lose.

The other two could go either way. Tampa is playing good ball. They’ve won 6 of 7 to get to this point. I like Detroit but they are beatable. KC-Buffalo is an awesome matchup (again). I think the Bills win this one because they are at home. Its still snowing in Buffalo but I think its expected to quit by tomorrow.

I will go with Ravens, Niners, Bucs, Bills.

7 of 8 remaining QBs were first rounders…

Vikes need to go QB in the first.

Take a shot, take a risk and stop this recycling of FA QBs that has been in place for the better part of the past 30+ years..

    Vikes need to go QB

    Tried that. Ponder failed.

    Tried Kellen Mond. Failed.

    Jaren Hall, currently a fail.

Should they try again and continue this pattern?

Chiefs could certainly win. The Bills / Chiefs game is the one I’m looking forward to most. Could go either way.

    Yes.

Ponder was the only first rounder in that group.

My point was to take a QB in the first.

One first round selection in the last 13 years and they should never try again?

I get your point on the first rounder. My point is that all the recent quarterbacks they’ve drafted have or are failing so there is nothing that tells me the next one would succeed.

I guess we’re already moving on from developing Jaren Hall then too.

Hall could be the guy with sitting a couple years behind Kirk. To early to write him off completely.

I seem to remember somebody named Bridgewater.

It’s nearly baseball season so what the queens do won’t matter for another 7 months.

Detroit has a 3-4 year window here that starts now.

And if you want to vomit..go look at their last three drafts.

Probably grades out as an A+ for each draft class…

Ravens 30, Houston 17 (Houston scores early to give a false sense of hope and the announcers are anointing Stroud as the second coming of Jesus, before Harbaugh and company dominate the last 3.5 qtrs of the game)

49ers 33, Packers 23 (49ers jump out to early 10-0 lead, the Packers start to figure it out but can never close the gap. Jordan Love throws 2 INTs late when forced to heave jump balls while behind, leading to people here and elsewhere saying he’s overrated)

Lions 27, Bucs 13 (Lions punch the Bucs in the mouth early and often. The game is never really in doubt as Detroit owns the time of possession and Baker looks more like his old self)

Bills 30, Chiefs 27 (Time expires with a late sack around midfield as the Chiefs are driving for the field goal to send it to OT. Andy Reid retires. Mahomes continues a long, successful career but never makes it back to the SB again)
