I don’t watch it but am always anxious to hear who the Vikes picked. What do they need? O line, wide receiver? I wonder what Spielman has up his sleeve as far as trades.

The decade long domination of the NFC North by the purple starts tonight! Pass the Kool-aid please… devil

He had his little girl up on stage with him. Even if he has hands of stone (which he might) he will make enough money to take care of his kid. Far to early to even care what the Vikings do.

He’s a great WR who also has the rare skill of also being a great downfield blocker, AP should be able to “Get Loose” alot more often now… Perfect fit for how the Vikes work…

Good pick by the Vikes. Treadwell had the best all-around WR skillset on the board and they got him. As always, there’s this little matter of can he make the transition to working against a pro defense that will be better every game compared to what he faced in college? We’ll see.

Nice to see the #2 overall for that Bison QB. Good for him and good for the Bison program. I’m happy for them in terms of getting recognition. Football can’t ever be like NCAA basketball where every college in the country is playing D1.

I’d like to get that Bison / Gopher game every year, just for the entertainment factor. Yes, I’m fully aware that this won’t happen because it’s not the kind of creampuff game that everyone wants now, but it was damn entertaining. Oh, and it was an economic jackpot to get all those Bison fans an excuse to come to the Big City and raid the bars, restaurants and the MOA.

SLOW and Not the best Hands. Add in the serious injurys in the past, and I think the 2 receivers that went the 2 picks ahead of him were a much better fit for this team. I guess time will tell.

CP is fast and so was Mike Wallace…. The measurables mean next to nothing, how they play means everything. He is big and very physical which will make the transition to pro ball much easier than guys that use speed in college and then get to the pros and cant get off of their jams. We are LUCKY he fell to us. He is going to be a monster, and from the sounds of it we will not have to worry about any issues off the field which is a huge plus. I’m drinking purple kool-aide for sure!

over 200 catches in 3 years, scored 11 TDs after coming back from injury and only has ONE fumble in his college history…. I think his hands are fine!

I guess it’s a sign of the times when a 220 pound player who is over 6 feet is called “slow” when he runs a 4.63 for the 40. IMO you have to look at the speed and size together, Will Fuller the WR taken by the Texans is faster, but I had to do a double take at his weight. He’s listed as a pixie-like 186 pounds. Awwww. What a dainty little ballerina. No wonder he’s so fast.

I’d rather give him a chance to show what he’s got rather than the yutz Miami drafted who was shown sucking bongful of maryjane smoke on ytube.

I just wanted to chime in really fast to let you all know of some exciting news. I am a Denver fan always have been but now I am going to have to be somewhat of a Green Bay fan since one of my college buddies signed as a free agent to them on Saturday!

Another year, another draft that my team (49ers) fail to draft an impact player. Oh, and we still don’t have a QB.

Exactly. They time these guys doing the forty yard dash in shorts and a t-shirt running an unimpeded straight line, hardly compares to what they do on the field. Patterson is tall and very fast but can’t run a route to save his life. There are many things involved in being a good receiver ahead of speed, anticipating what defensive backs will do as well as deceiving them. The list is long.

I remember another Vikes reliever that was far from fast…

Maybe your team still doesn’t have a QB, but they do have a Super Bowl trophy cabinet filled with some “hardware”! More than a number of teams now that do have a QB, or NOT next year? No one can take away the championship banners, unless of course you’re the Gopher basketball program.
The draft is like a “box of chocolates”. You never know what you will get! yay or ???

They coulda drafted Jerry Rice and it wouldn’t matter, if a QB can’t throw an accurate pass more than 20 yrds downfiled I don’t care about the talent
