Newbie to ice fishing!

Hi guys! I just wanted to come on here and say hi and I love the show and all the tons of info on the forum. This will be my first year ice fishing. I’m located in southeast Wisconsin so we don’t have much ice yet but thats ok cause I’m having back surgery this week and I wont be able to fish for a while. I have recently purchased most of my ice equipment so I am ready as soon as the doc gives me the OK. I’m thinking of stopping by the Milwaukee ice fishing & winter sports show tomorrow and look around and see if I can pick up any other stuff I might need. I’m really looking forward to getting out on the ice and fishing again.

Thanks guys! Im really looking forward to getting out ice fishing. I love being on the water in my boat during the warm weather and I love the cold weather so might as well fish year round. Im very comfortable on the ice cause I have spent years doing ice rescue and under ice rescue diving. Safety is number 1! Good luck to anyone getting out on the ice and be safe!
