Completely different hull and top cap. Depending on where you live , probably best to show you both boats side by side to have a clear understanding of the 2 designs.
As Dean says they’re both good to see in person. I have a 2017 and like the 2017 interior better, but I love the new rear storage on the 2018. That design is really growing on me. The ride is also better and slightly faster on the 2018.
If you can swing the 18 you will be happier, but both hulls are good boats and you wouldn’t be disappointing either way.
They are different and noticeably smaller than the 17. The 19 however did get a different insert on the rod side making it much friendlier in my opinion.
Having fished in all the model years, I have had to adjust what I put in the side tackle area and how I put it in there. The additional rear storage has more than offset that void, at least for me anyway.
