We have just started looking for a new truck. Why do Ford, Chevy, and Rams(haven’t looked at any others yet.) seem to have a lowered front end? Aesthetics? Is there a real purpose?

    Government required fuel economy standards.

All the plastic chin spoilers are designed to make trucks more aerodynamic and improve fuel efficiency.

When you put a load on the back so the front end doesnt point up in the air and will it have better control with a load. Trucks have always been tilted forward long before the government had pollution efficiency standards You can get a leveling kit that raises up the front for not to much money if you choose.
