New Truck

    Since there have been several good threads on new trucks lately, I would like to share my new (to me) truck with all that helped. We ended up going with a 2015 F150 3.5L Ecoboost. I was fine with getting cloth seats, but the Mrs. wanted leather so we ended up with the Lariat FX4 package. The plus side of going so new is that it has a whopping 11,700# tow capacity so I can haul pretty much anything I need around.

    Beautiful truck. I have a 15 just like it except without the fx4 pkg.

    You’ll absolutely love it for towing.

    The ecoboost is my next truck as well. I have a few in my scope that I can hopefully make a deal on in the next few days. Congrats on a sweet rig!

    Do you haul anything heavier than a boat that isn’t a travel trailer. I’m trying to figure out if a weight distributing hitch is necessary to haul a 10k trailer/skidloader combo about 15 miles. I know the literature says it is, but I have yet to see anyone using a WDH on a carhauler.

    Congrats on the new pickup! It’s nice having the 4-doors and the long bed.

    Very nice looking truck!! You will love the size of the cab in the f150!!!

    I am going at lunch today to look at upgrading from a F150 to a F350 diesel. I do love the F150 though, but it’s got 178,000 on a gas motor…

    Nice truck. I purchased almost the same, a used 2016. Second ecoboost great engin.

    Not yet. Just a 20′ glass boat. I sold my pickup camper this summer but I’m hoping to get another sometime soon. Will likely be getting air bags when I do.
