SO my buddy recently got into a new boat (Tuffy 1890 GT) and was a bit concerned on how far away the locator was when he was driving the boat. So after a few brain storm sessions we came up with this design…..This is just a proto type, but you can get the basic idea of it. Once we get some time on the water and solidify some design changes we will make Rev 7.1. This should work out nicely though as the he will be looking forward while still being able to read the H-bird….if all else fails, at least it looks awesome…

I absolutely LOVE the fact that you guys got creative with something like that. Regardless of how well it works a few beers and BS will always result in something cool! applause

On my old tiller i used the longest ram arm to get the Bird close. That worked pretty well. Now i’ve got a 7XX, 8XX, and 11XX on the counsel – No split screen anything anymore.

Hope that works out for you! I’d be careful about chair swinging around and slamming bird into somehting, or twisting the cords all the hell. It might vibrate like crazy too being on that long of an arm. Time on the water will tell!!

    Gotta love the innovation

I give it less than one trip on the water till it’s broke, cords wrecked or removed because it’s totally in the way.

Sorry, I just don’t see the point.

I think that’s a great idea. with some fine tuning who knows? Maby try to find a way to make it fold out of the way when not driving?

Interesting idea but I don’t see the point. If the point is to have it at your fingertips while running your tiller, just screw a mount to the floor in front of your seat. I understand that it’s still in the development stage but like somebody said those wires aren’t lasting long.

Keep at it, nobody ever thought there would be a need for a camera in a cell phone either.
