Scratcher, not trying to sound like an ass but those are still a thing??
I dont have any or want any,to each their own.
My stepdaughter is covered with them,I kid her that in 10 more years shes going to look like a big box of crayons that was exposed to high heat for too long.deertrackerPosts: 9231September 27, 2024 at 9:26 pm #2291076Haven’t had any work done in a few years. Have a back piece I want to do at some point.
DTSeptember 27, 2024 at 9:26 pm #2291077Tattoos are more of a modern fad. Years ago the only guys with tattoos were military or outlaw bikers. I only have one. Patriotic tattoo I got shortly after 9/11/2001. I’d like to get more, but financially there are many more things higher on the priority list.
September 28, 2024 at 7:14 am #2291113I’m also in the don’t have any camp. Not saying I will never. I have often thought about one and have a few ideas for one, just never made it happen. At my age it’s a good possibility I never will end up getting one. My wife has a few and would like more. My Daughter who is 21 also has a few and will probably end up one of those who will be covered in them. Although I have nothing against them, I don’t understand why some people want so many of them. But to each their own.
September 28, 2024 at 7:22 am #2291114It’s on my to-do list. Have a couple old tats that need to be freshened up. Have ideas for some additional work too.

September 28, 2024 at 7:34 am #2291116I haven’t had any work done since my guy moved to new York last year. I’m in search of a new guy who likes to do very detailed black and gray. And likes 8 to 12 hour sits.
jwellsyPosts: 1547September 28, 2024 at 1:32 pm #2291155I’m surprised I never woke up in the service with a tattoo.
I’m glad I never did get one.Back during the Babylonian era, slave owners would tattoo their slaves to show ownership. I think tattoos still reflect who/what owns them. Tattoos won’t disqualify a person from God’s eternal kingdom if the ones that don’t glorify God are confessed and repented for.
We are spiritual beings in borrowed temporary mortal bodies.

Now I have a bunch of tattoo artist friends and after hearing hundreds of people tell them at parties about their tattoo ideas that they never will follow through on it kinda turned me off of it.
ekruger01Posts: 571October 2, 2024 at 3:16 pm #2291939Been trying to find a good artist south of the metro to have a few new ones done. The wife wants to get a few as well. Most of mine are over 15 years old and could use a touch up. Seems like most places are appointment only now days and not walk in. Im terrible at scheduling things and forgetting about it so I havent taken the time.

Driftless Soul Tattoo, Decorah Iowa (Brock Swenson) does amazing work. I don’t have any but his work is top notch.
