    Why didn’t they just leave it alone? I like the protected slot up to 26″. Few people want to keep a fish bigger than 26″. That leaves all the low to mid 20s to swim, and breed.

    I would have rather seen a three bag limit with a proposed slot of 18″-28″ must go back with only one over 28″.

    I guess that doesn’t bother me. I’d happily trade catching 17″-18″ walleye for 25″+ walleye for the rest of my life.

    I enjoy the new regs, gives guys the option who like eating the mid range bigger fish to keep one. After fishing on Winnie for most of my life and seeing the lake turn into a bigger fish fishery from the years of 17-26″ slot, it will be interesting to see how these regulations pay out.
