Just saw a post from MWO that shows a new potential state record Burbot at 19.67lbs caught on LOTW. What a whopper! If certified, it just barely beats the current record of 19.5lbs.

Caught my first pout this weekend, maybe 7#. Was hands down the best fight I’ve ever had on the ice. Shakes, runs, twirls, epic. 10# channel in cold water would be a close parralel. Makes a guy want to target em some time.

Burbot are easily my #2 fish to catch, right behind the good ole’ Walters. I can’t imagine pulling that through the ice, i’m sure it was an 8″ hole also!

ME, #2 to walleye? Walter does not fight as hard or taste as good in the pan. Do we have some fish snobbery(not just you) here in the icy north?

Ha! No, but lets just say my buddies call me google. It took a bit, actually it was harder than I was thinking it should be, but I found what I was looking for. -)
I didn’t know we talked among celebrities! A state record, that is awesome!
