Here’s the prop. Probably original. Lost a lot of paint. It’s not crazy in terms of gouges or bends but it’s certainly not great either. I’ve never had a 2-blade prop before so I really don’t anything to compare it to. Thoughts?

I’ve read a 3-blade would rattle a little less and possible give me more thrust out of the hole, but a little less top-end. So not sure if I wanna go that route.

I highly doubt that you’d notice it on the “top end”. rotflol

If you can find something that would fit, it might be worth a shot. That being said, my dad had a late-70’s Merc 9.8 with a 2-blade on it, and it worked well for us for a long time.

After some weight and balance adjustments and trimming up 2 holes I was able to get her on plane and up to 13.4mph according to Navionics. It was a huge improvement over last time out. Almost 10mph against current.

Two hours later, the motor quit on me and I couldn’t get it re-started. So, back to square one for now.

This has been the story of my year, one step forward, two back.

I’d love to walk in there and demand some warranty on their work just to watch the guy’s head explode at this point.
