    Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I’m from Michigan and love the outdoors. My main passion is waterfowl hunting but a close second for me is catching big gills, crappie, and perch through the ice! I just added a Thorne Bros Quiverstick to my arsenal, and a new ice suit plus many jigs and finesse plastics for the season. Patiently waiting for the ice, it’s killing me! I hope to learn a lot from you guys, seems like a great forum!

    Welcome to the forum. What part of Michigan? Ever fish the big lake?

    Grand Rapids area, so west Michigan. I have fished the big lake in the summer off a boat for salmon, but never in the winter. I hear of some guys doing good for some of the bigger fish through the ice on connecting canals to the big lake.
