I don’t have that boat but don’t see why they would undersell it. The tubes in my alumacraft says 7’0″ and that means to get a 7′ rod in with a rod sleeve I need to cut the shrinkwrap nub off the end of the sleeve.

I just removed my rod tubes on my competitors side rod storage. Five tubes seven foot max length. Now I can put my 8.5 trolling rods in there. I put six in today and could probably have eight. Just something to consider.

The tubes in the lunds taper to a closed end. If you can get to the front part of the boat and see if there’s extra space you could cut the end of the tube off for more length. My 1775 impact would net me about 4” more and I don’t need extra length anyway but maybe worth a shot if easy enough to get the decking off over the bow end of the tube rack.

How easy is it to get this part out (black part/rod tube bracket)?

I did the same thing gino did and built a little wall so the rods now go up along the side of my front storage.

You wouldn’t happen to have a pic of that, would you?
