New Gen3 Mega 12in DI intermittent chip reading

    Just bought a new Gen 3 12in Mega DI. I’m using a version 6 Ipilot lakemaster map chip. Loads up fine and shows lake detail but every so often, it stops reading the chip and looks like this photo. To fix it, I have to pop out the card and push it back in. Then I get the details back. I also have a 10in Helix on the console and the chip works fine in that unit. Has anyone ever come across this issue?

    I just had this happen on my Solix for the first time ever. I’m on 3.640

    What version of the software is your unit on?

    Version 2.180

    The version 2.180 is what the Bird website is showing for the latest update.

    I have a funky feeling this problem was introduced in the latest Helix and Solix versions… because I’ve had my Solix for 3 seasons and this is the first time it’s ever happened.

    It happened on my Lowrance and the reader slot had gone bad.

    Update, stopped by Capras and they recommend using the newest lakemaster chip. So I was able to find one. I’ll post the results.
