For those that don’t check the home page often I’d like to point out that IDO has released a new web show called The Harvest Chronicles. Hosts Ben Brettingen and Pat McSharry will be taking viewers across the Midwest in pursuit of big game and the timing should be “spot on” given how everyone’s attention seems to have switched from fishing to hunting about 2 weeks ago. Shows will be filmed and edited in IDO’s “quick turn” style. The inaugural episode was filmed over the Labor Day weekend – 2014.

If your data connection can handle it, be sure to watch this one in HD!

Pat McSharry gets a big shout out on this one….I can’t tell you how many 2am emails and texts, with questions, and what not, I received. Heck, James, Ben and I got to the office yesterday at 330am to head up to Mille Lacs to shoot some Skeeter photos and sure enough Pat’s truck was still sitting at the office.

Hope everyone enjoys it! You’ll also want to wait until the end, there’s a big velvety buck waiting for you.

Thanks for checking it out guys! With all of this rain and cold weather it sure gets a guy fired up to get in the stand or to watch a pile of honkers with their feet down!

I posted a few comments on the video page but will add them here as well.
James, just like your fishing shows, your team has set the bar with this new hunting series. The guys got some amazing video footage. Not only of the animals but of the landscape as well. Those star shots were awesome. The picture quality was top notch! What an amazing deer to start the new series.
P.S. I love the series name as well.

Pat McSharry and Ben Brettingen are doing a great job with this new venture of ours. Of course the goal is to see Harvest Chronicles on TV in the future but for now we’ll get it off the ground and growing as a web-only show. Ben and Pat have some great hunts and destinations in mind so make sure you keep tabs on the video section. Or guys can simply subscribe to the Youtube channel. Maybe you could try hunting the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan like Jim Shockey.

Watch out for ISIS of course.

Thats how I got the show at first. This Winter I will be stuck in the cab of a semi allot and will be living vicariously through IDO.

Ben best of luck in WI this week. I have been witnessing some very strange behavior (this early in the season) this past week. Deer crossing the road with there nose to the pavement, bucks standing in the ditch less than 10 feet from the vehicle and not moving as you slowly go by. allot of movement just before day break. It’s been like a pre-pre-pre rutt. I have never witnessed behavior like this so early in the season in my life.

Great show. Very nice to be able to rerun the kill shots unlike TV. Looking forward to following you guys through hunting seasons.

Very nice new segment. Well done.

IDO has, IMO, really upped the photographic and videography game for articles as well. Really stunning photos and video going along with the articles these days.

I know the website is new, and “new” always causes some issues, but IDO is looking really good these days as well as having great content.

Really proud of you guys and happy for you. As others have said, amazing to see the quality of videography you captured, and I’m tickled to hear you’ll be doing it throughout the fall season. This stuff is as fun as it gets for a fellow hunter just following along in your adventures.

Excited to see what next week brings already!

Any upland bird hunting segments in the works? Yes, I do realize they’re a tough subject for videography.

Super excited to see where these episodes go, sadly though it will only serve to make me want to go try new places more, the fishing show already has me trying new locations and fish species I normally don’t pursue.

But that is something I can live with :):)

Wow. The quality of the imagery and the overall production really is remarkable. Not sure that the word impressive has the appropriate impact to describe the visual experience from the video. Home run on this one guys.
