I have a 1998 Warrior V177 Eagle. The floor has seen better days and the carpet could use a replacement or an upgrade to a different material. Has anyone done any floor work on a Warrior of this age class that could give me any advice as to what to expect?

Steve Plantz redid his floor on his Lund boat years back and could give you some advice on how to do it. He is a member of IDO so should be easy to find.

I re-did the back deck on a V177 that was rotted out.

It was pretty easy but a little time consuming. It was screwed down at the factory with stainless screws right into the glass.

I backed all the screws out, pulled the carpet off, used the old wood as a template, cut a new one with marine plywood, drilled holes through the same spots to match back up with existing holes, installed carpet on the top side, poked a wire out the holes and marked the carpet side with tape, and screwed back down.

If re-doing the entire boat, you’d save a bunch of time by just sealing the old holes in the glass and making new ones instead of trying to line them all back up.

    B-man,

My back deck is getting pretty rotten as well and I have contemplated doing just as you described, but have held off thus far. You didn’t run into any major issues while doing just that back deck? You just cut out the livewell/baitwell holes as they were on the original piece and used the same flange(?) that was on top of both the livewell and baitwell?
