New fishing lure and hook survey (school project)

Doing a school project where we are making a break away hook. We aren’t planning on selling it we just need these questions answered about it. Our idea for the project is a hook that is attached to the lure with a lower weighted line then what is being used to connect the lure to the rod. This is so it is easier to break and it can save your lure.
