    Hello –

We are in need of a new dishwasher. Anyone have any recommendations on brand and where to purchase?

    Thanks in advance.

Not GE. Our kitchen is all GE Profile, and I am not that happy with any of it.

We’ve been very happy with our Bosch.

For any dishwasher. IF you plan on using the Sanitize option, get a fully stainless steel INTERIOR. The extreme heat created can cause warping of other materials. Which could eventually lead to leaks.

My wife has done an awesome job for last 23 years and is still doing a great job. Sorry not sure where you can get one like her!

My folks got a nice SS Maytag about two years ago that they loved. After about a year, it crapped out. They’ve already replaced the board in it (which was expensive), and I am not sure if that got it working again. Needless to say, they are not happy.

Same experience with a Fridgidaire Professional Series. This wasn’t a low end unit, but we call it Old Faithful because it blows up a control panel board once every 3 years like clockwork. Personally, I think it’s bad design that allows moisture / stem to get into the brainbox. We only push one button on the thing, it has a favorite setting button that saves all your options, so there’s no way we are wearing out the control panel with day to day use.

The problem is that they have you by the coconuts if you (ie “your wife”) wants to keep all matching appliances in the kitchen. It’s either shell out $200 to replace the part or have one oddball appliance in the kitchen.

This is one appliance that I WOULD buy the extended warranty on. Be careful also to ask about the original factory warranty. Some appliances now have warranties as short as 90 days, so know for sure how long “extended” means in real terms. Buying a 2 year extended warranty is a ripoff if the factory warranty is only 90 days.

We are 7 months into a Bosch and so far no problems. Crazy how quiet it is when running and is defiantly built way better than the 5 year old KitchenAid we had before the Bosch. The KitchenAid was a piece of $hit with door seal problems and upper shelf brackets breaking multiple times. And before the KitchenAid we had a newer Kenmore that had problems.

I think this Bosch is the real deal and yes, we did pay more but are getting what we paid for.

We have made our last few appliance purchases at Warner Stellion and have been happy.

The nice thing about Bosch is that the front of the machine is not branded specifically for this purpose. We ended up doing this and matches pretty darn good the the Samsung products.

This was my problem with the Kenmore. The board failed 2 times and I was done at that point.

I’m 4 or 5 years into a Fridgidaire Professional. No prob.
I buy all my appliances from Warner Stellion and have for several years. All of them have been replaced by them. There is one near me and they are great to deal with. I just bought a washer/dryer on Tue this week. By Thu morning they are installed and old ones gone. The older guy I always deal with is a straight shooter and knows everything. I’m not wasting my time shopping around when I get repeatable service like that.

8 years on the current Bosch without a hickup. My main goal was quiet and it was quieter than the previous Kenmore. Cleans good without pre-rinsing.
    Zero complaints.

Maytag has a 10 year warranty and it should have cost them nothing, I have a Maytag and in 8 years had no problems. labor is 1st year only but parts are 10 year.

Spend the money on a Bosch. Well worth it!

We bought a Samsung stainless two years ago and love it. We haven’t had a single problem with it. We had a Frigidaire previously and had pump issues and leaks it was only three years old. I won’t buy anything from Frigidaire or whirlpool anymore.

We have an automatic dish washer.

Supper’s over, I wash the dishes.

    It’s automatic.
