You guys see the prices on the new 2021’s yet? Yikes. It’s like boats the way the prices keep climbing. Wonder if the value of my 2014 is going up? Might be the time to sell.

Yeah it’s crazy. We just bought 2 new trucks at work and were able to get 2 new 1 tons for almost 5 k less than 2 identical 3/4 tons.
MNdrifterPosts: 1671January 4, 2021 at 7:08 pm #2003098There were a shortage of 2020’s Heavy Duty’s because the plants switched over for a period of time to make ventilators. So I’m assuming all the people/companies in the market last year for HD’s are added to this years buyers. I brought my 2020 1 ton in this April for an oil change and some recalls. Dropped it off as they were closing so they could work on it the next day. The service manager made me pull it inside. He said the salesmen would try an sell it! As I was leaving I had my salesman whom I’ve bought several vehicles from caught me and asked if I was interested in selling my truck and waiting on a 2021 when he could get one for me. Said he had a list of guys looking for my pickup.
January 4, 2021 at 7:13 pm #2003102Came across a 2020 DuraMax long bed 4 door with 8,000 miles. Asking $52k which I’m guessing they wouldn’t move off of. Not really a Chevy fan but if my Dodge was gone I would consider it I guess.

A 2018 3/4 diesel for under $30,000 doesn’t sound too bad
January 4, 2021 at 7:58 pm #2003121Dutch your decision will be made once you sit in the pilot seat of a new Ram.
I love the 12″ screen.

I got enough trouble with screens the way it is. I’ll likely end up with a Dodge as I will hopefully get more on trade and it’s what I can afford. If not, I’ll dump another 100,000 miles or so on it.

Man I really love my duramax! I pulled out to pass with my wheelhouse behind this week. I seen my wife tense up in the passenger seat. I was around the slow poke before she could even open her mouth!

I get ya. I just can’t afford the things. In ’14 they were the most expensive followed by Ford and the Dodge was the most affordable. I follow some Hotshot trucking forums. Those guys mostly aren’t real high on the DuraMax. But I suspect not many can afford them either. Nice looking trucks tho.
martybPosts: 104January 4, 2021 at 9:22 pm #2003158You guys would be shocked at the trade value of late model trucks in good condition…. I ordered a 1500 Denali Diesel and expected to get about $20k trade for my 14… first offer from the dealer was $28k. I was in the car business for a long time and thought I was pretty good at estimating trade values..

That’s really good!! When I traded my ‘14 1500 Silverado Z71 LT with heated cloth seats and 42K miles a year ago in September I only got $26.5K.

Anybody offers me mid to upper 20’s are going to own a truck.
JasonPosts: 820January 5, 2021 at 5:22 am #2003188Yah their stupid expensive upfront but it seems like you get it back in resale. I really enjoy my 2020 10 speed 1050lb torque Ford. All the power you would ever need and it gets the best fuel mileage of any of my past super dutys or duramaxes.

Absolute best thing about my Dodge is the gas mileage. I get mid 20’s freeway up to around 73 mph then it starts to drop over that.
I picked up a 3500 ram on Thursday.
Very nice looking truck & it fits in the garage!!

Very nice truck. Im looking at getting the same truck, but with a 8ft box. The burgundy color that ram has really catches my eyes.

Adam SteffesPosts: 439January 6, 2021 at 12:47 pm #2003697I have a 2018 F250 PSD and it is no joke – the capability is amazing. Its heavy though, pushing 8k lbs empty. I get low 20’s driving around empty and around 10 pulling a 33’ travel trailer at around 8k lbs
