Built a new stand for my buddy as a thank you for letting me hunt his property for 20 years. We put it up on Monday. Closer to the gun season than I wanted but summer got away from me. This one is a 6×6 on 10’ 4x4s.

That ladder looks a little short to access the blind. whistling

Looks like you forgot to make the door big enough to fit a barcalounger through, or to build it around the barca rotflol . Otherwise looks real nice!

Holy solid build, Batman. Studs 16 OC, big windows, would love to see the cabinet layout for the kitchen. I can only see the edge of the skylights, are there 2 or just the one?

Assume you went with Andersen windows all the way around? That’s what most of the serious custom standbuilders are going with these days.

Only one sky light grouse. A second would have blocked the chimney for the fireplace and the exhaust for the Viking gas range I installed.

Actually they are very expensive house windows I bought on FB for $25 each. I put them horizontal and they slide from both sides. They are even spring loaded so they open themselves.

I usually make my own smaller plexiglass windows but I got these for so cheap. We are going to put curtains in there so deer can’t see through the stand.

The funny part is we have a Ditch Witch up there and it’s only a couple hundred yards to the barn with power. It was talked about. hah

Make it happen. I mean a guy can’t sit all day without charging his phone or watching some tv. You could even go with electric heat so they don’t smell the propane.

I added a solar panel and a 12v 12 amph battery to mine. Works perfect for a tablet and phone plus all the LED lights!

Figures Randy would have it dialed in by now. Since you have built a couple stands in your life. waytogo
