This is what my daughter had Kawasaki syndrome. this was 35 years ago. Met a Ramsey buy about 6 doctors, basically, while there in a coma, high fever for almost 4 days, eyes turned blood red, skin turned beet red then started to peel like a lizard, poked prodded spinal tapped, her curly hair fell out, grew back straight, about 10 years of checking her heart to see if damage occurred. This COVID stuff can cause this… If I had a young one they would be homeschooled. DK.

That 35 years ago , just to let some know this Covid stuff can be real serious in children, far as the daughter , no heart damage, she has 3 of her own now.

Really scare tactic much?? No one knows what this thing can cause, for people to say this thing is bad or is not bad is a lie.
No one knows! The Kawasaki thing your daughter has/had sounds horrible. I don’t wish that on anyone. But let’s try not to spread misinformation. Comparing the two seems quite silly with the little information we have.
If just once I could read an article or turn on the TV without hearing a lie it would be a breath of fresh air.
August 29, 2020 at 4:32 pm #1969196I don’t lie, and it can be a part of COVID in kids, what I have read. Do what you wish with your family. And if your young ones got it you damn well would be scared. DK.

I have seen enough of this crap…
catmando, you shoukd spend less time reading and watching the TV. Sorry man but you and I would never be able to talk about this.
We might get along great in a boat if we were not taking about it.
Do me a favor and leave your opinion and fear of my kids out. Pisses me off when others use cross reference outside material to push covid on others. We will be just fine and hope my kids get every chance to go back to school, socialize and be a priority in this “pandemic”.
So far they have not been close to priority.
August 29, 2020 at 6:21 pm #1969204Just what is the title of this post ? Take what I said with a grain of salt. If you wish. I am not pushing anything period, just FACTS that happened to my daughter. DK. Just a note about what I didn’t say, I was plowing a blizzard at the time checking in with the wife, she had to go back to the hospital twice, they said the flu, finally a doctor said this isn’t just the flu. If anyone can get a child to the Doctor quicker..its a good thing!
August 29, 2020 at 6:51 pm #1969208Closing schools and shutting off social interactions between children will be a big harm to society long term.
We used to make societal decisions for the next generation but now we are making decisions to protect the dying generation.
We used to say, take care of yourself. We’ve now become, take care of everyone else.
Let the healthy get back to living and protect the elderly and vulnerable.
Amen!!
You all want to pull up real info about kids… Why have we not focused on the affects of not socializing, suicide and depression. We know social media has had a huge influence on children and how they socialize. Cyber bullies, keyboard warriors and a-holes that are changing how we communicate. We know this is a dying part of our society but covid is putting it into 5th gear yet we keep focusing on the virus. Just the virus and how it “might” impact them.
I am not worried about the virus if you cannot tell. My reason for posting is to point out the real concerns of their “well being”.
I could start a new topic and add factual data that We Do know has a real impact on our most important generation. It would come off insensitive and alarming to some and should be priority over this virus talk. Sorry for the rant.
Fish To EscapePosts: 333August 29, 2020 at 7:34 pm #1969210Just for clarity I think this is what catmando is referring to. It is known as MIS-C. A very scary but very rare complication in kids that get covid. Different than Kawasaki but similar.

If you know where to find real facts about covid feel free to post links. Does no good to just tell someone they are ill informed without trying to inform them. Personally I’ve seen enough conflicting information this year to be done with “facts” all together
August 30, 2020 at 3:47 pm #1969284You don’t want facts close your eyes, If you want the facts find them, it’s pretty dang easy, I know what the daughter had ,rare yes, but its something to watch out for if you have small ones. Its reading and tv time for me. DK.
