Wife has been complaining for years about the comfort of the standard boat seat in my Warrior. She has a b-day coming up next month so I am going to get her a new seat on a spider mount. Any suggestions on a nice comfy seat/ captains chair? Obviously it doesn’t have to be real practical for fishing, more about comfort.

Sounds more like something you just get her and get something else for her birthday.

About 8-9 years ago I upgraded the seats in my boat which at that time were going 18 years old.
I went with the Attwood SAS Centric boat seat. The SAS has a spring suspension built into the bottom of the seat.
Not sure if they make the Centric like I have. On Attwood’s webpage they offer the SAS Centric 2.
The Centric seat I have offers a lot of support, and it’s also heavier than the factory seat.
I purchased mine from Hannay’s, and they were around 250 each.
    Good Luck.

millenium boat seats. Worth a look at least. Feels like a lawn chair.

I was just boat seat shopping. Its deffinatley worth spending a few hours jumping marine dealers. Lots of options. But I found mine on craigslist for over half off

I bought 2 pilots seats when I bought my Lund. They are very spendy but very comfy. Your wife will love ya for it. However, don’t buy one if you don’t want her in the boat much. whistling Check out the Warriors captains chair, they look comfortable also.

Thanks for all the help, I will look into all these.

Curious Dutch, where does a guy find pilot seats?

I bought them through the dealer I got the boat from. He said the pilot seat wasn’t as large as the captains seat Lund sells.

My step-dad has the seats with the arm rests like in Dutch’s picture. I will say they are very comfortable, but the arm rests are always getting in my way. Maybe not as much of an issue in a tiller boat though.

If you really want comfy boat seats look at some of the pontoon driver seats. They’re all about comfort compared to the everyday fishing boat seats. I will say Warrior and Lund’s captain seats are very nice, but they don’t even compare to some of the pontoons I’ve sat in.

This is what tiller extensions were truly made for…

Just suggestion…..don’t forget about pontoon captains chair (reclining and comfy). Got mine for around $300 for my warrior. Very comfy
