Hey guys I’m looking for a new big water deep V fiberglass walleye fishing boat. I spend 75% of my fishing time trolling and am looking for the boat with the biggest cockpit for trolling. Needs to be 20ft or bigger and flip up jump seats a plus’s but not a deal breaker. What’s out there and other than standing in them is there somewhere to see the measurements? Thanks!!!

I believe you are describing the Warrior 203
The windshield is moved forward for that very reason.

    V203

Then would the V208 have an even bigger cockpit? Or there newest 238 model? Even tho I hear those are all sold for 2021 already and u can only order for 2022 right now. Where Does the skeeter wx2200 compare in dance floor size?

The 238 would be the biggest…
208 has more bow space than 203

WX2200 more bow space as well… If I understand your post correctly, you are looking for the most cockpit area ?

    That would be a 203 or 238 .

The WX 2200 has more bow comparitively.

Cockpit gets bigger by shrinking the front deck, shrinking the splashwell/rear deck/jumpseats, or making the boat bigger. Shrinking the decks is going to affect things like storage configuration so probably want to double-check those as well, and I wonder how much of a practical difference in cockpit room there between boats in this class.

Dean hit the nail on the head. Warrior 203. It has more room behind the windshield than the 208 does. And the 238 has even more yet but is expected out of a 23′ boat lol. If you want to make the jump to the 23 footer then that’s your best option. Giant boats with a ridiculous amount of room! I’d like to get on big water with one and see how it eats the waves. My 2090 shrugs off 3.5 foot waves like they’re nothing. I can only imagine how the 238 is!

While not a common model 2121 Warrior would be another possibility to consider…

Availability and timelines are another topic !

What is your definition of big water?? I’ll be the odd guy out here and say if you’re pretty much only trolling, why don’t you look at a legitimate big water boat. Something like a Grady White or similar?? For the price of one of those Warriors you’re not too far off from getting into a Grady I’d imagine.

I guess the question is what is he doing his other 25% of the time he’s fishing, and how well does that line up with Grady White’s lineup. Could definitely be a great option or a terrible one.

The other time will be family cruising and general boating. I spend a lot of time on Lake Michigan. I had a 2008 baha 277 GLE, don’t get me wrong I loved it but it wasn’t trailerable and also not big enough and heavy enough to really get you out there in water rougher than a good 20+ft deep V walleye boat would have. I’ve also spent lots of time in a Alumacraft Trophy 200 nice boat but can’t handle the rough stuff.

Have you looked at Parker Boats?

They’re a no-frills trailerable pilothouse boat with insane dancefloors and a sheltered cockpit with a small cuddy.

Here’s a 25′ with a single main, you can get twins too lol

Anyone have any experience with the skeeter wx2200 as far as trolling and how much room there is in the back when trolling?

You will see James on IDO have filmed several shows trolling out of the WX 2200. All of them available online.

I have as well on Lake of the woods.

Wx2200. Check out Skeeter boat forum here. Lots of info. Tons of room! 4 people in the boat all the time. Lots of room. Have trolled with 6 a couple times as well.
