New Board Software Question

Maybe I’m missing it but does the new board software have any sort of identifier showing the posts in which a person has previously commented within? If not, is this something that is possible?

This board doesn’t have that capability but Lozier is working on that addition right now. He figures he’ll have it in place by the end of the month, give or take.

Thanks James. Another function that you may want to consider is the ability to show “all threads as being read” so that if there’s one that is not of interest the new post indicator and be reset as needed. Just a thot.

I have come across code that allows to mark individual forums as read but it’s commented out. I haven’t uncommented it and tested it on our staging to see why it’s commented out. It may not have worked or just did bad, unexpected things. In any case I need to kick that around some before it sees the light of day here.

As far as seeing a member’s topics and replies you can visit their profile and select the “forums” tab. There are links for topics or replies created there. You an also view your own in the same manner. I hope that helps!

What’s a public message as opposed to a private message?

Is that the one under the “Activity” tag? As far as I can tell that just posts to your profile “wall” or stream or what ever that’s called. It’ll show in the member’s list as well.
