I am the complete opposite. I will never own another horizontal pin sight. I love how much I can see in the sight housing with vertical pins.

I felt the same way until I was shooting longer range and found my vertical stack would cover my entire target area. But in reality when shooting 100 yards for 3d I should rock a single pin. I also hated running 3 pin vertical my second and 3rd pin were non adjustable.

The tetra showed up today. Definitely feels great. Smooth is a understatement. I will be sighting it in tomorrow is the winds are down and I’m excited to get this to work. Leagues start in a couple weeks.

    Sweet looking bow BC!

Thanks buddy. Here’s the one I gave my kid, ( green bow with orange string, and the one I won in leagues last year).

Very nice setups! A buddy I fish with in Canada each June shoots a lot of league and 3D stuff. He and his son go out to these big National Events out West pretty much every year. I think they missed last year because of our Canada trip, but I know they shoot a ton. I cannot believe you can even hit a target at the distances he says you guys shoot! LOL
John Kolb is his name. No nonsense pretty serious guy, but nicest guy on the planet!

The sight i just sold off, I could shoot out to 90- 100 yards on a nice calm day. I would never do that in a hunting situation but for out door 3d ranges we encounter alot of 80 yard shots. 85-90ish for me is where my eyes don’t let me focus on the pin and target. But after shooting 50 to 70 yard shots daily in the yard it makes those 20 to 30 yard deer kills seem like cake work.
The kid struggles past 50 yards, he wears glasses and either can’t see the target or can’t see his pins. So he shoots 40 to 50 most nights.

That is still impressive distances. My old bow I use 1 pin up to 30 yards and its dead on. Not sure what yours is like. Far more advanced than what I have, but I havent bowhunted in 15 years. I did buy a new sight and arrows for it a few years ago and its even faster than it was with the new arrows. Much smaller diameter than the old carbon flash ones I shot before.

I feel your sons pain, glasses can be a real pain when shooting longer distances. I start having focus issues once I hit 60-70 yards, and if I get my glasses positioned just right I can go out to 80. Part of my routine for each shot is actually pushing my glasses back to just the right spot. Someday I’ll bite the bullet and get lasik.
