Never seen anything like it

Had cottonwood/ pollen so thick on the lake tonight we couldn’t fish. Had my wife and kids out, but the cotton floating on the water was acting as a bobber-stop and the line wouldn’t go down to the proper depth. Tried for quite awhile before giving up with 4 rods and reels totally clogged with cotton. Was quite the disappointment for otherwise a nice evening.

Had the same thing earlier in the week. Braid was almost unfishable after an hour. Mono was much better, but still a pain

Hoping this rain settled it down some. Yeah real annoying.
