Networking questions

I bought a boat with two onix 10 units on it and a 360 transducer. I just purchased a helix 10 g3n so I could eliminate the 360 in the back. I never used the 360, but did use it for side imaging.

My question is, can the new helix be networked with the old onix units, or would I need to buy all helix/solix units?

I was told helix and solix only send waypoints between them. I held off buying a solix because it wouldn’t network together like two like units.

This will answer your ? https://www.humminbird.com/sites/humminbird_site/files/2020-humminbird-networking-chart-05-26-20.pdf

When networked together via Ethernet, HELIX and SOLIX models will share:
    Waypoints

    i-Pilot Link information and control

360 Imaging (note that HELIX and SOLIX will not share MEGA 360 with each other)

    Humminbird CHIRP radar

    Bluetooth Talon control**

    NMEA 2000 network information***

*Depending on technology built into each networked fish finder, some sonar images may not be shared if unable to be supported by your unit’s software. Ensure that you are running the latest software by finding updates here: https://www.humminbird.com/support/software-updates

See full compatibility of networking and sonar information here: https://www.humminbird.com/support/faqs/EthernetSonarSharing

**If both HELIX and SOLIX are on the network and need control of Bluetooth TALONs then at least one SOLIX and one HELIX G2N/G3N must be paired to the Bluetooth TALON at the same time.

***If both HELIX and SOLIX are on the network and need to view NMEA 2000 data, then at least one SOLIX and one HELIX G2N/G3N must be connected to the NMEA 2000 network. The HELIX G2N/G3N would be connected via the AS ETH NMEA2K NMEA 2000 Gateway.
