Networking Helix Units – Display question

Hopefully I can explain this well enough…

I currently have a Helix 9 G2N SI MEGA that is connected to my Terrova with I-Pilot Link.

I am interested in getting another unit to network in and have some questions on what I can/can’t do…

If I purchase a Helix 10 G2N DI MEGA I believe I can connect the two Helix units and the Terrova with an ethernet switch and some cables. What I am curious about is whether or not I can then display my SI on the Helix 10 while I have a map up on my Helix 9. I *think* I need to have the SI displayed on the 9 and it will then mirror to the 10, but that is what I am not sure of.

    Any insight?

You can do what you’re proposing. It does not “mirror” the screen though.

So, your 10 G2N DI could view the SI image from the 9 while the 9 is on a map view; it’s 100% independent of what each head unit is viewing.

And yes, you’ll need a hub, cables & dongles to accomplish this.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think you’ll even have a SI page on the DI unit?

Or you could just buy a helix 9 gps G2N to save money and do the same thing

I just did this yesterday and even ran a US2 cable back so I could pick up from terrova transducer. Now if I only had an ulterra, I’d never have to leave my seat 😂
