It’s getting closer to the start of the season. This year we are limiting the tournaments to 14 entries each. I’ve received a number of calls and emails with questions from anglers who haven’t fished with us yet. It’s still early, but I have a feeling that we will get the full 14 teams. As of right now 5 of the 14 slots are taken. Please use this link and fill out the pre-registration form similar to last year. Simply fill out the form and check the season or all the individual tournaments you wish to fish. The main goal of the change is to set a priority entry system along with deposits to ensure those who want to fish, will get to fish. We hope this will maintain a full field for the duration of the season. This will also reward those who commit to the season with priority entry and a secure spot in the field. Full fields will also make for a higher payout and a great Division Championship. $2 from each entry each tournament goes into a fund that gets added to the payouts at the Championship. With full fields our championship could pay as high as 1st – $500, 2nd – $300 and 3rd – $200. I’m also trying to get a few local sponsors to provide a few additional prizes for both our weeknight tournaments and our division championship. Below I’ve highlighted a few things we are doing differently this year.

    Membership:
Once again we will get a discounted membership. Memberships this year will be $20 per person. The memberships have changed a little this year. Now there is just one membership that covers everything for the NBAA. Your $20 also includes memberships for the One-on One and family membership.

Please bring the membership forms along with your dues to the 1st tournament you fish and we will send them all in together. This may also save a few people from buying memberships who might not get a spot in our tournaments.

    Entry Fees:
Entry Fees for the 2008 season will be $45 per team payable at the ramp this includes big bass entry.
We will also accept entry fees made through PayPal 7 days prior to the tournament. Please note if using PayPal a $2 fee will be added.

    Deposits:
The deposits will be $50 for the season or $5 per tournament for those not competing in the full season.

Each tournament we will take $5 from your deposit and apply that toward your entry fees until your deposits have been used. Leaving your entry fee each night at $40. After 10 tournaments the full entry fee of $45 will be collected. We realize it’s hard to commit to the full season. The way we have set this up is you basically get 2 nights that you can miss with no penalties or loss of deposits.

We would like deposits by April 14th in order to process priority levels should we fill up. Deposits can be made by personal check or PayPal. Please note a $2 fee will be added to cover additional fees if using PayPal.

    Registration Priority List:
    1. Teams who were NBAA members for the 2007 season and are committing to at least 10 tournaments and have paid the deposit. All entries will be time stamped in the order they are received.
    2. New Teams committing to at least 10 tournaments and have paid the deposit. All entries will be time stamped in the order they are received
    3. Teams fishing less than 10 tournaments in the order entries are received and paid the deposit.

    Division Championship:
To qualify for the division championship teams must fish at least 8 tournaments. Up to 2 subs may be used during the season as long as one team member is present. Points from the best 10 of 12 tournaments will determine the starting order for the division championship. Payback is 100% at the ramp.

For more information about the NBAA visit the National Bass Anglers Association or stop in Wolf Tackle and pick up a National Angler Magazine and a flyer .

New divisions are welcome. Check the website and find out how to start a division in your area.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Jason
