This last Sunday Pete and I joined BSfisherman for a little walleye action at Sutherland. The morning started off great with 2 fish in the boat right away and several other short bites. Seemed like several other boats were having the same luck too. Large minnows or smaller chubs were the bait of choice. The afternoon bite would have been decent if we wouldn’t have forgotten the sting R hooks at home. The walleyes were grabbing the bait but weren’t very aggressive in eating it. We ended the day with only 3 keeper walleye and 1 decent smallmouth. It was a little windy out there but it felt great to finally spend a day in a boat with friends.
