Pete and I hit one of the Lincoln area lakes last night for about 3 hours and had no luck. I caught one 6 in. crappie and that was it. This lake has treated us good on walleye during the open water season on several occasions but we have yet to find a single one through the ice. We punched over 100 holes along one of the lakes only steep breaks and only marked a couple of fish that may have been a roaming walleye.
We decided that we are not going to give up on this lake until we figure it out. It looks like we should have a long ice season ahead and we plan on picking that lake apart until we find the eyes.
