Just wondering what the chance was of having a Nebraska get together on Mille Lacs Full moon of October. We are headed up to fish with James and Chris the week of the full moon in October and staying at the Red Door.Earlier this summer Ben a Brian said they were headed up also .I heard rumors several others were headed that way.
We are there the 22-25. Anyone else want to get together?

That trip is basically an “unofficial” get-together every year. There will be a ton of IDAers there and from what I hear there will be about 20-plus Nebraska IDAers there this time. Keep the VHF radio on channel 82 for on the water updates. There’s generally a gathering at the Blue Goose at some point. If you’re not married, you might be able to find yourself a wife while you’re there.

I would suggest trading cell phone numbers with other IDAers so you can stay in touch and make plans on the fly. It’s also not bad to have a little help if you get in a pinch a long way from home.

I can’t wait. Between Sharkbaits group and ours we have 13 coming for sure. I just talked to a few more people today and there might be 4 more heading up too.

I think I remember Tomich mentioning it too. Come on buddy, make a commitment!

If more Neb. guys want to come let us know. Our cabin is full but I could help get you into one that is close to ours.

Hey Ben, did you finally peer pressure that cousin of yours into making the trip as well?

Wade, you’re not referring to Walking Two Hams holding up the corner of the bar? “Buy a pretty lady a drink?” “Sure, just let me know when you see one” (actual quote from my oldest, and still alive brother)

I had a buddy who used to say, if she ain’t purty enough, keep drinking. She will be soon enough!

I believe he had the Blue Goose in mind when he made that statement.

If I don’t get up there to keep you boys in line, have fun!

I’m working on him. It sounds more and more like he’s going. Someone will post a few reports on Mille Lacs soon and he’ll go.

    Hey Ben!
You Nebraska guys should hit the “Saugerama Tourney” at Evert’s (Oct 20th) on the way to Mille lacs. C’mon! How much fun is it to catch dozens of 20″ to 28″ walleyes in the dark when you can catch dozens of saugers in the daylight? And of course there is always the possibility of catching a bigger walleye than any you’ll ever catch in Mille Lacs!
