Last night a buddy of mine had his truck broken into. They threw a piece on concrete through the drivers window and took his wallet. My question is, how does he go about getting new verification that he is licensed to hunt and fish? Is there a number in Lincoln to call? Thanks for the help

If he bought it on line he can get a duplicut for $5. Otherwise I think he’ll have to check with the G&P office in Lincoln.

Yup, I would say head to the office. They should be able to look something up for him. If he’s around here, just send him to the office in Kearney. They’ve been very helpful for me.

He did a hard copy at Pump & Pantry so he can’t just go on-line and print a new one off. I will let him know to try the Kearney or Lincoln office. Thanks Guyz

If it is anything similar to WI liscense system you should be able to go to any liscense agent and have them print a duplicate for him. When you ask for a duplicate the system atuomatically checks if he bought one before.

    Hope that helps.

Should be easy to get, I think it cost $5 for killing the tree, if memory serves me. Sherm

He can go online and print out a duplicate for $5. When I buy my licenses I do it online. I print out 4 or 5 copies and keep one at home, one in the boat, one in the truck and have a couple extras. I even print to a pdf file that I can print a copy whenever I need to. I never know who I might be hunting and fishing with and with only one copy it is easy to forget about it when you are leaving. Just a tip for those you you who may not have thought about that.

Jason C, I did that with my fishing licences too. One in my boat, one in my wallete, and one in my tackle box. Here’s the kicker, I was told it is illegal by a GW. I said I was trying to be legal and not worry where the licence is. He told me that in effect, there could be 3 Shermanators(very dangerous thought) fishing in 3 different bodies of water at the same time catching 3 different limits of fish. I see his point too. He said don’t get caught. The best part is that I told him the desk person at the G&P thought it was a great idea and printed them out for me. Sherm

I print multiple copies too. I just leave the extras at home in my desk. My wallet got wet last year and my liscense was ruined. I just grabbed a new one at home and was good to go.
