Man, I’dlove to get out and fish today thru this weekend but the weather is 30 mph winds and stormy. Figures

Turkey hunting is the pits in big wind too.

I did figure that with that big ole boat of yours, you would care about the wind

The lakes I want to go to are on poor roads. I don’t like taking Big Bertha on gravel, specially when I just had her detailed

Don’t let the wind stop you from turkey hunting. Shot a few birds when the wind was a howlin!

I’ve hunted when it’s howlin’ too. Usually I spend the day getting “busted” if I can get one close at all.

That road to Minnesota is a POOR road too. A guy would be poor from paying for gas to get up there.

You wouldn’t need to even start your truck engine just tie a bedsheet to a pole and make yourself a sail today . Might have to ride the brakes a bit though to keep it under the speed limit.

We’re looking at a moderate 15-20 mph for tomorrow. Sounds like a day to get out if I can find a driftsock Of course usually it’s 15 + 20.

Looking to be pretty decent down here tomorrow…thinkin I better get the Crestliner out. Now I just gotta make a decision to either go to Johnson and try for eyes, or go for crappie I know I can catch in the canal.

Hey Brian, keep us informed. Things should be starting to heat up out your way pretty soon. We have been thinking of hitting Johnson and then going over to Elwood for a memorial service of some kind.

    Good fishin’

You’d go for the crappie, right Ben??

Come to think of it, I should have said this earlier, but I’ll have an empty seat or two as well. Only going in the afternoon, from about 3 to 730 or so, but I’m going.

Waded at Branched Oak last weekend and a buddy and I caught a 23″ Walleye and two 5-6 lb Wipers in the 20-30mph winds. Would have been inetersting on the boat for sure. Good weekend to wade for me. Anyone else have any luck?
