Spring thaw is started.

THe ice is starting to break on big mac.There is close to 20ft of clear water along the north shore and the west end is open a couple hundred yards from the river out into the lake.A long way from getting a boat on but with all this wind it could start a major breakup pretty soon.The ice on the main lake is still pretty thick but there is water on top in several spots.The little lake is ice free in the north side from the narrows north but the south half still has thick ice except for around the spillway.Better finish up making jigs cleaning tackle boxes and buying new toys real fishing has to be right around the corner.

Wade, I’ll be hitting Milford in a week or two. You could drop the family off at the in-laws and we could head down. I’ll have that sweet finder on my boat by then, I hope!!
