Pretty good article there, Zach! I’ll agree with you, that hi viz golden Stren is really good stuff. I’ve been using it for quite a few years now, and it seems to really work well. Have you tried any of the Sufix stuff? I tried it for the first time this year, and the Sufix Elite is great for crappies. The Siege is 15x more abrasion resistant, so I used it on my baitcaster and it’s done real well. Gonna use some more of it next year along with the golden Stren.

I use Gamma on my rigging reels and Hi-Vise on my jigging reels and that is it. If I come across a problem I will try a new line but until that time I am in a faitfull and commited relationship

I don’t get the chance to fish for walleye very often. Being mostly a bass angler I like to take an active approach to fishing. Meaning I like to cast and retrieve my baits. Trolling is very affective at times and usually how I fish for walleye when I target them. I have caught several very nice walleye will jigging for bass. I have the best equipment and the technique down, it sounds like I need to just change the jig and give it a try then hit one of our walleye reservoirs instead heading south to fish an Ozark lake.

Next year if everything works out I will have more free weekends. This past year I fished about 30 tournaments. Next year I am going to try to get into the BASS Central Opens. Hopefully when registration opens I can get in before they fill up. If I do my schedule will consist of 3 tournaments. That will give my more free weekends to fish around hear.

We’ll see. I fish that Rose Placzek Memorial tournament at Sherman every year. After our decent finish last year we thought about hitting a few more of the NWA tournaments. Like I told some guys last year. I like going after walleye every once in a while, but I’m not trading in my bass boat.
