This weekend presents a very tough matchup for Nebraska. NU will have to pass to set up the run. The Horns front 7 will throw us fits if we don’t try to spread them out. IF Nebraska tries to run out of their heavy sets (3 TE’S), it will be a disaster for NU. We have to try spreading them out! I just don’t see Nebraska winning this one but you never know. Nebraska will have to stop the Texas run game and make their QB beat them.

Chad I couldn’t disagree with you more. I truely believe that it is imparitive that we run successfuly before we can attack with the pass. There is going to be way to much pressure on Zach if we try to pass and then run. It is of the upmost importance that we get them back on their heels with the run and then attack there secondary with a timely passing attack. GO HUSKERS!!!!!

Zach, I hope you are right but Texas has a similar, if not better than USC’S defensive line. We are not a great running team yet. Huff and Byford haven’t been very good run blockers and Patrick, Slauson are a little banged up. Mann is coming off Mono and will be beaten pretty regularly by a very strong D-Line. It is important to spread them out with 2 or 3 WR’S, that will draw a LB into coverage or Texas will have to respond with a nickel defense thus setting up some run lanes for our running backs.

Listen to that analysis! I don’t know what would work better, with running and setting stuff up and all that, but listen to this guy talk football…..OUT with Callahan, IN with Chad Mayer!!!!
