    Ben and Zach,

I’m DYIN to know how you guys are doin! I’m sure it doesn’t have anything to do with me being invited and not being able to go…. …but I’ll live vicariously through you. Please tell me you’re nailing 10 pounders!

Did I mention THANK YOU for inviting me? I’ll try next year not to be such a wuss.

The wind has been blowing like mad for 2 straight days. Hopefully they’ve still been able to fish.

Fishhunter, last I heard they were going out with Tuckner tonight. I’m sure they had a good time last night…. but they’ll be on fish tonight!

Too bad you couldn’t make it up here…the sturgeon are snapping…er sucking rather…or we could have chased some flatties. Oh heck…I would have even taken you out walleye fishing…doubt we would have caught one though!

Seriously, Ben and Zach are two stand up guys. I wish we could have spent more time together. Ben invited me down flatheading next Feb…might have to check into that.

I saw the boys Sunday night and they had a blast. Zach beat his personal best walleye and so did I!

I think Zach and Ben will have some pics to share soon.

Don’t have any pics yet as I have mis-placed my cable for my phone but I can tell you that MN was absolutely amazing!!!!!!! I have never caught ‘eyes’ like that before in my life. The guys that we fished with were some of the most stand-up guys you will ever meet. The wind was hard on us, Kooty and Harry were hard on me but the fishing Sunday night put the the whole weekend over the top!! I can’t wait to get back up there again and more over, I can’t wait to see all the guys again!! Thanks Guys!!!

Nice job Zach!! Congrats on a BIG fish! I’m really glad you and Ben made it up to Mille Lacs. I had a blast!!

I got an email from Ben (thanks Ben!) with some great pics, and it does look like they had a good time. All I know is I’m already planning on going next year. It looks like a trip well worth it!

Brian, It is definately a trip to add to your “must do” list. As an IDA member, you get more tips and direction than you can imagine. Do it!

Here’s my largest eye, 29 3/4 inches (couldn’t quite get her to hit the 30 inch mark).

Man what a great time we had up there. Everyone was very helpful to get us on fish. So much so that we didn’t even have to take my boat out 2 of the 3 nights. I can’t wait to make it up there again. After talking with Matt, Cal, and Tuckner I think I’ll be heading up the first part of Dec. to catch these same size of fish through the ice!!
Here’s a picture of 1 of the 2 keepers Zach and I caught this weekend. That’s right only 2 keepers every other fish we caught was TOO BIG to keep. That’s a fun problem to have.
