Whew… Heckuva a game this wknd. Not hearing tooo much here on the board. Wasn’t this a 50-7 game in the making?

BTW – KU’s 94 offensive plays were the most allowed in Husker history – beat OU’s 92 plays in 1948. This is in the “speed game” rules changes of 2006 even.

Like I said, won’t even be close.

I didn’t realize Kansas was that good. They actually have more talent than I gave them credit for. That I’ll admit. I have some issues with our offense after getting up 17. It has nothing to do with the players, but again I’m questioning game plan and play calling. Isn’t that what Monday morning quarterbacks do? I hate the spread offense and really hated the fact that we went with it so much in the KU game. I could go on and on but why. We won the game and it was great entertainment, no doubt. I won’t be able to watch the ISU game next weekend because I’ll be in a boat on Mille Lacs, but I sure hope we put a stomping on the clones!

Got a chance to read my world-herald tonight and they pointed out that when we lost to Colorado we gave up 582 yards. Thank heavens we only gave up 574 to Kansas… I know KU is way better than CU was that year. And of course, CU had no advantage at home and with those lousy players like Gurode, Brown, Purify, Graham…

From Monday – LAWRENCE – Kansas’ Eric Washington was expected to be dismissed from a Lincoln, Neb., hospital today and could return to the field this season.
The senior outside linebacker sustained a concussion in Saturday night’s 39-37 overtime loss at Nebraska, KU coach Mark Mangino said Sunday.
“There’s no serious injury to him,” Mangino added. “Our doctors tell me that there’s a possibility he’ll be back this season.”
Washington lost consciousness briefly and feeling in his extremities after making a tackle early in the second half. The game was delayed for several minutes while he was tended to on the field then removed on a stretcher.
He was held in the hospital through the weekend so he could undergo medical therapy this morning before being dismissed.
“It was a scary moment,” Mangino said of Washington’s injury. “But he’ll have a full recovery.”
Losing Washington for any period of time will be a blow to his KU’s defense. He had become the Jayhawks’ most consistent playmaker.
Both sophomore James Holt and redshirt freshman Artist Wright will work in his place. Holt returned to play Saturday for the first time this season after being injured in mid-August.
“We’ll get them in a game plan,” Mangino said. “Both are capable.”
