Anyone here build them? Nothing fancy, just enough to make a respectable online presence.

My horrendous FB page is getting more and more views lately and it’s a butchery of what a business page should be.

Cash is an option. Any leads appreciated.

Do a Wix or Squarespace site. Lots of templates to choose from. Very easy to set up and they take care of everything including hosting. Easy online visual editing too.

My site for Midwest Monster is a Wix site.

Custom built websites are just too much of a hassle for the non-techie.

What grouse said. If you have someone make it for you you’re going to be on the hook for paying them (or somebody) forever for changes or to fix problems or other things. Wix & Squarespace aren’t any harder than making memes lol

If you want more of blog style then wpengine.com is a decent hosted WordPress which would be the next step up and I bet you could still manage yourself.

Also, I should have said, the vast majority of “web designers” are just going to customize wordpress anyways. I’d at least try a hosted one yourself first since, if you need somethimg that wix/squarespace can’t do, because the hosting manages all the backend stuff and upgrades for you so it’s not that hard.

If you ever just need a free website use Google Sites! It may not be the greatest in the world but I can turn out really nice if you put in the work!

I have zero time for development of anything other than a 2 minute meme here and there.

This is like the trailer wiring thread…..”asks for someone to do the work…..gets 10 responses on how to do it yourself.”

This might be hard for some IDOer’s to believe but some of us are willing to pay others for their services. Even if we are capable to do it on our own.

And, I’d pay to see the show.

True. I’ve now got the wisdom to know when someone else can do it much better than I can, and my time is limited. Some things, I would rather just pay a pro to do.

Sometimes paying a pro for a job is cheaper in the long run.
And I’m not talking about marriage. whistling
