I have never really consistently fished for muskie and decided that this is the year I am going to catch my first lunge! I am a bass angler so any info on how exactly these fish are setting up right now in central or southern green bay would be great. I launched today in little sturgeon and had a huge walleye follow a black double cowgirl lol. I sat in 6 feet for much of the day and later stepped down into 8 feet. Again I have no idea what structure/depth to fish as I am new to this species P

My best advice is to stop now before it’s too late. Unless, of course, you thrive on heartbreak and frustration and you don’t care about burning through your bank account buying thousands of dollars worth of overpriced lures, rods, reels, nets, etc.

It’s too late for me, but if I can save just one person, I’ll consider my mission a success.

I would always look for deep water on weed beds. Stay back from the edge and cast so you are retrieving through clean water. If nothing move in a bit closer until you contact fish. Some guys even park in the weed beds and cast out and retrieve towards the weeds.

To give yourself the best odds, pull up the major & minor times and log them for when your out. You’ll find the moon phases will greatly influence peak bite time
