Need Help with Solo on/off switch

I accidentally bumped the On/Off switch on my Solo auger and the Red cap came off. There is a small ball Bearing inside of it, where does that need to be inside of the switch? Does it go in between the two wire connection points? I cannot figure out how the switch works without any metal contacts other than the two wires with the ball bearing.

I should of taken pics to help show what I’m talking about. The auger starts but the switch will no longer shut it off.

A pic would help, but I had to guess ,its probably an open contact now that the bearing is missing. Turning the switch usually would close the circuit and then ground out the engine and shut it off.

Its just an auger, not like an outboard or something important. Twist the wires together to run, pull them apart to stop. Simple. Effective. lol

If a person presses the decompression button will it shut off the motor? Thought I read that somewhere before.
