Need Help Please Helix 5 PT

    Hello im wanting to buy a new Humminbird Helix 5 PT finder the one that comes in the zip up carrying case that you can put your battery finder and transducer in. I have 2 questions

    First one can anyone tell me if I can take the suction cup mount off and buy a new plastic mount so I can mount that transducer on the back of the boat so it doesnt get blown off when we are cruising down the lake at higher speeds? i want to have that transducer mounted the boat permanent

    The second Question Does anyone know if I can buy a seperate Ice Transducer to use on that same Helix 5 PT portable unit for ice fishing? this would make things a lot better if i could have a transducer mounted on the back of the boat permanent and one for ice fishing Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank You

    Yes you can buy the regular transducer to permanently mount on your boat. You can purchase the ice ducer on Amazon for about 70$.

    Thanks Janderson for the help i have been looking online trying to figure out if i can buy a transducer with the plastic mount for the boat and ice ducer for ice fishing and use them on the same finder all i could find was a suction cup one that it comes with
