Hoping that someone can help out with this unsuccessful search, so far. Told a friend of mine that needs the tank, I’d try here and see if any of my fellow IDO friends might be able to help out. He has a StrikeMaster Mag III with a leaky tank. He and I have pretty much exhausted all of our resources, with absolutely NO luck. He’s pretty handy and has tried several different things to try and stop the leak, with no success. SO, with this being said. If anyone knows how/where to get a tank for this unit, I’d be extremely grateful and I know he would be, too. Thank you in advance for any and all help with this. I should also mention, that he doesn’t have a whole lot of money to work with at this time. But, let’s see if anything comes up and just go from there. Thanks again!

is the tank metal or plastic?? if it is plastic,I have had very good luck repairing them with a white plastic lid off of a coffee can or other white lid,use a soldering iron to melt the plastic from the lid,and then melt into/onto the plastic tank thoroughly covering the cracked area or hole.
I use the medium setting on my soldering iron so I dont melt through it too easily.if it is a steel tank, and not rusted out completely, clean the area with sand paper until you have reached shiny metal, flux the are with tinning paste, then solder it with lead bearing or silver bearing solder, with silver bearing solder,it takes a lot of heat.
make sure the tank is empty and flushed out with water so you dont chance starting a fire first.
dry the tank out after checking for leaks before installation, and make sure no solder chunks are in the tank.November 22, 2015 at 4:25 am #1578730Check out strikemaster online to find your closest service center.
I checked a few around me and they have a parts list on their websites. http://h2outfittersmarine.com/?page_id=979&id=11There are several tanks for different models on the first half of that page.

For the heck of it, I checked with my local TORO dealer/ lawnmower repair guy about ordering a new gas tank. He got out his pieces parts catalog and found the exact tank I needed. I never got the tank but I know he an get it if I ever do decide to get one.
