So if a guy wanted a covered trailer that would hold 2 sleds and 2 larger otter ice shacks hooked up to the back of each sled, what trailer style best allows you to drive on/off without having to disconnect and manually load the otter sleds? Or am I asking too much? Advice on brands and styles or any other info appreciated.

I would look at a deck over 4 place with ramp on the v nose.

lol! I have no idea what that lingo means. Can you dumb it down for me Dustin? I get 4 place. vNose, I get that too…the shape of the front. But are you talking a taller cargo style trailer with a ramp in the back or those flip-over lid style covers like you see on the Floe trailers?

Sorry jd, deck over is over the wheels for full width, and yes, shorter enclosed cargo trailer, I’m sure you could look in to a floe style, I’m sure there are many different price points.

Ahh, now I get it. Much appreciated Dustin. Any brands you would recommend? I have no idea who makes the good stuff. I’m very much the type to buy once and maintain it rather than take a chance on the “lesser made” manufacturers.

I really don’t have any suggestions, you will have to decide if you want to deal with the rusting of a steel trailer, or the cracking and metal fatigue of aluminum, I would probably look for a heavier duty, well built aluminum if you don’t get sticker shock from the price tag, many to choose from, aluma, triton, many others, look around and buy one from someone you want to deal with. Good luck!

JD, try RNR Trailers. Here is the link. I had them build me a 12arc last year and have been very happy. Really reasonable on price.
